Industrial structures

Structures engineered around their function and operating environment

We manufacture custom steel structures and components from supplied documentation or from technical requirements developed together with the customer.

Starting point

Send us a design or describe the operational problem.

We review the required function, operating environment, access and handling requirements, loads and interfaces with existing equipment.

On this basis, we agree the documentation scope, material, manufacturing process, surface protection, transport and installation conditions.

Feasibility, performance parameters, dimensions and division of responsibility are confirmed before an order is accepted.

Scope

Components designed for a specific application.

Machine frames and bases

Load-bearing and locating structures adapted to the equipment, foundation method and required mounting points.

Platforms, walkways and steps

Access structures for operation, inspection and maintenance activities within production facilities.

Technical access ladders

Custom access solutions adapted to the available space, height and intended use.

Guards and partitions

Structures separating work zones and controlling access to machinery or sections of a process.

Brackets and mounting elements

Supporting and mounting structures developed for the specified equipment or installation.

Workplace modifications

Components required when changing layouts, equipment, operating methods or integrating new machinery.

Project delivery

From requirements to a structure ready for operation.

01

Requirement assessment

Documentation, function, operating conditions, programme and installation location.

02

Technical coordination

Measurement, solution development, materials, joints and documentation scope.

03

Manufacture and inspection

Material preparation, welding, required machining and component inspection.

04

Delivery and installation

Transport planning, positioning and the agreed acceptance procedure.

Silma Tools capability

Industrial structures may require more than welding.

Our in-house toolroom can produce precision plates, pockets, locating surfaces, shafts, bushes and mounting holes.

We combine milling, turning, drilling, grinding and dimensional inspection with structural fabrication, allowing our engineers to assess the complete task rather than dividing responsibility between unrelated suppliers.

FAQ

Before sending an enquiry

Can we approach you without complete manufacturing documentation?

Yes. We can begin with a description of the problem, functional requirements and operating conditions. The required engineering scope is agreed before quotation.

Which industrial structures do you manufacture?

Our scope includes custom machine frames and bases, platforms, walkways, steps and technical access ladders, guards and partitions, brackets, mounting elements and components for workplace modifications.

Do you take measurements at the installation site?

Where required, the project scope can include site measurement, adaptation to existing equipment and agreement of the installation method.

Can the structure incorporate precision-machined components?

Yes. Our in-house toolroom can combine structural fabrication with milling, turning, drilling, grinding and dimensional inspection of locating or mounting components.

Do you provide transport and installation?

Transport and installation are confirmed for the specific location, dimensions, programme and site conditions.

Do you have documentation or an operational problem to solve?

Send the requirements, dimensions and information about the operating environment.

If a complete design is not available, describe the required function and result. We will identify the information needed for technical assessment.
