Projects supporting technology development

Investment in machinery, software, measurement and team capability that expanded the production capacity of Silma Tools.

Business development

Technology implemented in successive stages.

Silma Tools has completed EU-supported projects covering new machinery, development of engineering capability, and implementation of hardened-material and 5-axis machining technologies.

Project 01

Strengthening competitiveness through an innovative hard-metal turning technology

Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship 2014–2020

The project introduced precision turning of specialised shafts to an accuracy of 0.01 mm and included the purchase, commissioning and operator training for an advanced turning centre.

The investment changed the production process for hardened-metal components, including cutting dies, die components, punches and assembly tooling.

  • Total project value: PLN 718,320.00
  • Eligible expenditure: PLN 584,000.00
  • European Funds contribution: PLN 496,400.00

Project 02

Implementation of innovative technology for engineering and managing 5-axis metalworking processes

Project co-financed by the European Funds

The project implemented technology for engineering and managing 5-axis machining processes using specialised tools with free-form cutting-edge geometries.

The investment included modular CAD/CAM software, 5-axis machining technology, installation and training.

  • Eligible expenditure: PLN 222,800.00
  • European Funds contribution: PLN 100,260.00

Project 03

Expansion and modernisation through new CNC machinery and engineering-office equipment

Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship 2007–2013

The project covered a HURCO VMX 42 SR 5-axis machining centre, a TBI FT 475 × 1000 CNC lathe, Edgecam and SOLIDWORKS software, and a computer workstation.

The engineering office supports process development, simulation and production preparation for 5-axis and multi-task machines.

  • Total project value: PLN 1,217,560.00
  • European Funds contribution: PLN 598,800.00

Project 04

Business development through investment in precision metalworking machinery

Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship 2007–2013

The project included a Fanuc Robodrill α-T14iFl vertical machining centre, a TOP 360 × 1000 lathe and an Axiom Too CNC coordinate measuring machine.

The investment expanded milling, turning and computer-controlled dimensional-inspection capability.

  • Total project value: PLN 392,840.00
  • European Funds contribution: PLN 193,000.00
